I've been trying to use alsaplayer 0.99.50 with current CVS (=3D=3D 0.9be=
ta8)=20
with a a Midiman Audiophile card, with little joy.

Just running "alsaplayer <file>" [file is a 16bit stereo mp3, ogg or wav=20
file] gives:

AlsaPlayer 0.99.50

Output plugin: ALSA output v1.9.0beta7
Unavailable hw params:

I'm pretty sure this means that it's trying to use the hw interface (whic=
h=20
only supports 24-bit padded to 32.=20

Using -d plug or -d plug:0 gives:
AlsaPlayer 0.99.50

and a failover to OSS output plugin.

Any ideas what's going on, is it an API change between 0.9b7 and 0.9b8 or=
=20
something else? [I've just downloaded the 0.99.51alpha but not built it=20
yet].
