or if it is more work to do.

It seem to be the case. I managed to make some flac files with timidity:

timidity miles.mid -OF --flac-verify --output-file=miles.flac

but I am not able to read any of them with alsaplayer, and that with flac-1.2
and 1.4. I am able to read them without problem with aqualung and flac-1.2.
I am not even sure if they are oggflac files or flac files. I suppose oggflac.

Any pointer on a certified oggflac file? I find this one:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/8/86/20060311102601%21Piano_Sonata_No._11%2C_Variation_3.ogg
in the history of
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Piano_Sonata_No._11%2C_Variation_3.ogg
but it doesn't work with any player I have in my system.

Another issue with this patch is at it doesn't break anything existing, and it
add support for flac-1.3 and 1.4 when keeping the support for older flac
versions. So, if it is no objection, I will make a new release with this in a
few days.

I think at it is a good think to do because most distributions are working to
add support for flac>=1.3 in their distributions.

Ciao,
Dominique
