I think so. I have access to shell server group space, so I must read the doc
to understand exactly what it mean and how it work.

I will look at it. What are the missing related projects?

I know that.

I am just looking at it. It appear at it is enough to change 2 files in order
to get the cvs to compile:
- comment out or reverse the last change in interface/gtk2/Makefile.am (comment
out line 11)
- comment out lines 765 to 768 in interface/gtk2/main.cpp

The gtk2 interface start and even play the last loaded playlist, but only a few
functionalities are working. And the look is very crude.

As it is only 2 files to modify, I will not make a branch in the cvs but just
comment out the broken parts.

But it will be better if someone can made it to work. That especially because
on the not so long run a gtk2 interface will be not only a wanted feature but a
must have feature (gentoo have already removed gtk1 from the distribution and
other will follow). So, you are welcome if you want to work on it, even if it
will take more as a few days.

So, i will wait a few day before to commit my changes (but not long). In fact,
I will wait only until I get enough familiarised with cvs (not so long) and
with sourceforge functionalities.

After, it is "just" to apply the security fixes from
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=alsaplayer-devel&m=114878812719626&w=2
and
http://security.debian.org/pool/updates/main/a/alsaplayer/alsaplayer_0.99.76-0.3sarge1.diff.gz

I will do that too in a few days.
