It is for the sgi output plugin. It is a few possibilities:

We move this output plugin outside the main trunk and do a separated package
with it. We are free to use gpl2 or 3 for the main trunk, but this separated
package will violate the gpl.

We don't move this output plugin and break the gpl2 as we are doing now, or we
upgrade and violate the gpl3.

I prefer to move this plugin into a separated package because I think that it
is not a good thing if AlsaPlayer break its license.

Another question arise: which license to use with the sgi plugin? 

I am thinking to something as "As-it" or for "educational use" with a warning
about the fact at installing this plugin will violate the gpl because it will
be linked against AP and to install AP on a sgi system is not allowed by the
gpl license.
