The mad plugin optionally uses some features of GLib 2, but only uses 
them if GTK2 is detected.  It also links against GTK2, instead of just 
Glib.  This means that if someone has GLib installed, but not GTK2, 
then they won't get the proper encoding support.  (It also means that, 
for example, Debian users must have GTK installed to install any part 
of AlsaPlayer from the binary package, even if they don't use the GTK 
interface, since the mad plugin gets linked against GTK.)

The attached patch checks for Glib 2, and links the mad plugin against 
Glib 2 only.
