[Alsaplayer-devel] configuration for build from source

I've found 0.99.76 (from Debian etch repository) has some buffering
"clicks" on my Asus Eee PC, so tried building 0.99.80 from source, as I
believe I read somewhere that buffering had been improved. However, the
build does not by default use alsa output plugin and says it cannot find
it. The config script actually seems to select oss.
Likely I just need to find the right place to set 'yes' to select the
alsa output plugin.
Suggestions welcome.

PS. We have been trying out the Eee as a player for folk dance music. We
use some pretty cheap powered speakers and it does quite well. The
speedup and slowdown (key T and key Q) are helpful, and alsaplayer lets
one of our callers who is blind run the music herself.
