Log message:
Store the configure command line in a comment at the top of Makefile suitably
escaped so it can be pasted into sh
Pass XAPIAN_CONFIG to configure on the command line rather than in the
environment to help ensure that configure saves it in config.status.
Tweaked uses of trap to work with bash v3.
