Zap patch 7

Patch 7 of version 1.40 is now available from the ftp site, and via CVS.
This fixes only very minor bugs, and updated the manual slightly.

Work will now start on version 1.41; bugfixes will still be incorporated
into subsequent patch versions of 1.40 (and into the 1.41 work at the same
time).

1.41 will only be available initially via CVS or by binary snapshots from
/pub/ds, /pub/dj etc. on the ftp site. Hopefully next year I will be able to
set up nightly source, and possibly binary, snapshots of development work.
