In fact Survex .svx is a text format, and I belive Compass .dat is too.

Using "Karst" in the name seems a poor choice to me, as caves aren't only
found in karst (e.g. lava tubes, caves in granite and sandstone, etc).

For that matter "Cave" isn't ideal - old mines are surveyed using similar
techniques, but this this bothers me less for some reason.  Perhaps
"underground" is the distinguishing feature?  Cave survey projects often
include overground surveys, but these aren't the main purpose of the
project.
