I've fixed the problem in a different, and slightly less hacky, way: I'm
generating the archive HTML with a different piece of software, which
seems to get the translation right.  I've updated the links on the
website, since the url to go to the archives has moved.

Let me know if that doesn't work for you, or there are other niggles.
