[Snowball-discuss] new user question

Hi-
I'm new to stemming and I'm using the Snowball Stemmer for Lucene 3.0. I've run into a small problem. I have a very specific case "hippocampus"/"hippocampal" or more generally "colossal"/"colossus" where these pairs don't stem to the same root. I believe they should and I'm curious about the best way to make this happen. Do I need to modify the Snowball library itself?
