[Snowball-discuss] Regarding the Italian stemmer

Hi

I could not understand the following instruction in step1 in the Italian
stemmer algorithm:

*azione   azioni   atore   atori* delete if in *R*2 if preceded by *ic*,
delete if in *R*2

Does it mean delete if in R2?
