Log message (8 lines):
Create a branch of the PuTTY source tree into which I plan to commit
programs which use parts of the same code infrastructure for
entirely different purposes.

(I seriously considered just checking them into the main source base
regardless, on the grounds that that way everything would stay up to
date automatically, but couldn't quite make myself believe it was
sensible.)
