    Use less colourful language on Download page.
    
    It struck me recently that someone might quite reasonably object to
    the use of 'crippling' to characterise a software bug. Change to
    'inconvenient'.

    Avoid TeX-style `' quotes in web page text.
    
    They look pretty horrible in normal browser fonts, and I think these
    days there's no reason not to use Unicode smart quotes in practice.

    Avoid uninformative 'this site' and 'here' in hyperlinks.
    
    I recall hearing that that's bad practice, because the text of
    hyperlinks can be taken out of context by accessibility software. So
    I've found all the obvious cases I can, and rewritten their links so
    that the text inside the <a> tag at least says _something_ related to
    what the link is pointing at.

    PuTTY has been a team effort for a long time, but there are still a
    few "I" and "me" lurking in the text of the website and dating from
    before there was more than one of us. Time to sort them out.
