    newton: make the fading target colour configurable.
    
    Now you can start with dark colours and have them fade to white,
    instead of light colours fading to black. Means the fractal boundaries
    light up spookily, which is quite a nice effect.
    
    (Perhaps it would be even better if each had a different fade target.
    Hmmm.)
