Olly,

The system is essentially public now so feel free to place us your
current users page. I'm in the process of adding a technical
description to the FAQ page and will provide a link to Xapian there.

You are correct about the cookies for the search hits - I do need to
reexamine this to resolve the concern you raised about emailing of
links, etc. I may address at the same time I add the "search inside
this document" feature by putting the search terms into the get string
for each view request...
