[Xapian-discuss] AM_PROG_CC_C_O not found

I googled for an answer but didn't find one.  Any idea what's going on?  
I have all the prerequisites per the HACKING file. Except Ubuntu doesn't 
have a libtool >1.5.22, however the bootstrap worked on another similar 
system (Ubuntu edgy).  I can't see any difference in the tools.  

I am using the latest SVN trunk.

Checked out external at revision 10009.

Checked out revision 9492.
