DistoX and PDAs to use?

Hi all
I have been having a bit of trouble with the distoX connecting to a PDA,
the I got asked for some advice by Quentin. I only have my attempt,
possibly we can share some of the devices that have worked and not
worked here and hopefully help each other out.
There are assumptions here, but this is what I think that I have learnt.
PocketTopo requires .net v2 which will not run on WM 2002 which is what
originally came with my iPAQ 3970. Got a copy of WM 2003 (the latest the
3970 will take, and put .net v3.5 on it. PocketTopo works fine, but the
bluetooth (which I think is v1.0) connects but drops out in a weird way,
most probably usable but a little tedious.
I also have a HTC TyTn II which on WM 6.0 PocketTopo worked but the
bluetooth was very slow, this is a known fault, and moving to WM 6.2 all
is fine, but I have not used it underground as the screen is far too
small, and the instrument is far too delicate (plus it belongs to work.)
So what devices have worked well? What other problems have people come
across? Is this information already available somewhere?
thanks
Andrew
