I am successfully using a Dell Axim 51v PDA with a DistoX. This is a
Windows Mobile 5.0 device, with a 640 x 480 screen. Bought it 2nd hand
on Ebay and it seems pretty robust. Underground I use it in an Aquapaq
PDA case, which makes it fully waterproof.
Above ground it is excellent for GPS (again via bluetooth as no GPS
built in) for surface prospecting with maps using PathAway software.
