    New filter program: 'parity'.
    
    This strips the high bit off terminal output, so that if you have some
    system that's failed to strip a nontrivial parity scheme from its
    output data, you can read what it sends. Also, optionally (and
    defaulting to not bothering), it can reapply a parity scheme of your
    choice (odd, even, mark, space) to the terminal _input_, in case the
    same server is expecting to be talked back to in the same way.
